Reflekt helps you examine the entry you are writing. It can offer another perspective and, when relevant, connect earlier writing. You can keep writing without using it.
1

Write something first

Add the thought or experience you want to explore in the editor. Reflekt asks you to write a little more if the entry is empty.
2

Request a response

Tap Reflekt in the editor. The response appears inline with your entry, so you can read it alongside your own words and continue the conversation by writing more.
3

Check the interpretation

Compare the response with what you actually wrote. Earlier writing may be brought in when relevant; a connection to the past is not required for every reflection.
Reflekt uses AI and can make mistakes, including invented details or a connection to the past that your writing does not support. It is not a clinician or a diagnosis. Your journal text remains the primary record.
If it is unavailable, keep writing and try again later. For questions across multiple entries with dated sources, use Ask Lucy. Read AI limitations and safety before relying on a response, and Privacy and AI for what an AI request processes.

Gentle AI fair use

As fair-use controls roll out, Ask Lucy and Reflekt each have a separate daily soft threshold of 30 completed responses per account. Afterward, you can keep going with a short wait between requests. Writing, saving, and reading remain available. See AI fair use for rollout details and how pauses work.
