Your personal record starts with your words. Recollekt saves entries on the iPhone, and signed-in entry data syncs to a Supabase-backed cloud account. Reflekt and Ask Lucy send relevant text and context through the Recollekt backend to an AI provider. When you use voice transcription, captured audio is sent to a third-party speech-to-text provider; review the transcript before saving it.

Choices in the app

  • Reflekt runs when you request a response in an entry. Ask Lucy runs when you ask a question across eligible journal history.
  • In Profile → Privacy, Use location for entries controls one-time location tagging on new entries. It is off by default.
  • App lock in the same screen can require Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode when opening Recollekt.
App lock protects access on the device; it is not end-to-end encryption. Avoid assuming that cloud data or AI requests are unreadable to the services that process them.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Read any answer against the original writing and its sources. Mood check-ins are recorded answers, separate from the freeform entry text.
